It’s disappointing that the House, on a 216-214 vote, has chosen to ignore the facts. After having given us a green light in several previous CR’s to spend our FY25 dollars, the Republicans are now changing the rules and forcing us to cut back to FY 24 annual spending levels...

If Senate Democrats vote for this bill, it will impose immediate hardships for police, teachers, fire fighters and residents in the District. Locals who are worried about this urgent issue would be calling their senators about this bill, but local residents don't have senators.
