My big purple satchel, which is several years old now (pic is from when it was new). I don’t use it much these days cos even when empty it’s pretty heavy, but I love it. #sundaypixpurple

Neighbours have hung out washing that smells so strongly of detergent we have to keep doors and windows closed to stave off an asthma attack! Surely ‘scent boosters’ that strong can only be compensating for the fact the clothes aren’t getting properly clean underneath? #smellpollution

No thunderstorm here overnight as far as I know, sadly, but it is so nice to wake up to the sound of proper rain after such a dry few months (so tempted to put a ‘tiny joys’ hashtag here purely because that one annoys my mother when she sees it 😄)

Finished my train book, ‘Days at the Morisaki Bookshop’ which I enjoyed, but still have an hour to go on this leg of the journey. Sadly at night staring at the countryside through the window just means looking at my own reflection, which is much less interesting

Disappointed that there’s been no coverage of the Olympic artistic swimming on tv, it’s such a visual sport! Recorded what the tv guide said was the technicals, turned out to be literally one minute of the commentator saying goodbye 🤨

Ugh, this is the most ill I’ve been for years😣 can’t wait for this poxy cough to go away and actually let me get some sleep. Situation NOT helped this week by Cat bringing in a live mouse and letting it go in my room 😱 though by some miracle it found its way back outside via the window!
