I addressed your question "Why is this a big deal?", I am not expressing what I like or don't like. The actions of Texas do in fact violate the 1st A establishment clause according to Stone v Graham. Texas passed the law specifically to create a case to challenge existing law.

I'm not saying you are wrong. It is a bit confusing since there is a 'Border Patrol' which sits in an organization called Customs and Border Protection. There doesn't seem to be a straight 'customs' on the org chart. The Field operations seem to have the customs mission but it is really hard to tell

Consider that the sole conviction obtained in the Durham investigation was for someone misrepresenting information in a warrant application. In the Comey case, they not only executed an illegal search, but an illegal search on information illegally held. By MAGA standards these are crimes.

I don't want to get all techy here but the butt plugs are not storage media. It is completely possible that _maybe_ BUTT is some sort of acronym like USB. So a butt plug could quite possibly be computing device like a USB plug. But no, that is not the case.

Criminal conduct. Consider that Kevin Clinesmith was prosecuted for a misstep on a warrant application. The court documents multiple violations of information obtained under warrant and the actual search of data _without_ a warrant.
Those are crimes by MAGA standards.

Yes. This is misconduct at epic proportions. When the court say 'uncharted legal territory' WRT extremely well trodden 4th A law, the the US Attorney has cross into a level of misconduct beyond what any prosecutor has attempted in the last 2 centuries.

No. History has pretty much shown that these various OS and HW platform pretty much coexist. Windows originally ran on top of MS-DOS which and was a response to the Apple Macintosh. At the time, PC also ran Unix. There was workstation platforms that ran GUI on top of Unix, Xerox Dandelion.
