I was going more along the lines of ’Karma’s a bitch’ but that works also.

Canadian girlfriends about to become a lot prettier?

Even with a subpoena they can’t be compelled to be interviewed though, right? Or how does it work?

Correct.

I always knew in my heart that the arts was to blame for all of this somehow.

Look up Danish mortgage bonds for evidence to the contrary.

Reminds me of Comey. He made the appearance of virtue a vanity.

Reminds me of a story a friend told me about going on a hiking trip in Alaska and being warned about bears. Told ’If a grizzly approaches climb a tree, with a brown bear approaches play dead, never climb.’ He asked how to tell the difference. Btwn the two when they approach. ’Now that’s really hard’

That’s fair.

I get and agree with your overall point. But not sure about your examples. The - checks notes - famously honest sales people and insurance brokers? Let’s agree there are better angels? I’d go with maybe postoffice clerks and librarians myself.

Yes, he wants to be dictator. And he has identified that as the cheatcode to get there. No one in NK criticizes Kim…

Yes. Also love it when a self-declared ’leftist’ presents some random CIA assessment as the unqualified last word on history. Russian zlatnik bot vibes.

Unfortunately it maths for the biilionaire owner. The upside now is greater than potential downside later. Even at 50/50 odds.(Which they will help skew) Dems would actually adhere to the law and democratic norms. Wondering if this is some sort of new game theory state ’liberal democracies dilemma’.
October 8, 2025 at 12:05 AM
When your trying to win an argument by claiming Stalin was not a dictator… you’re either a Russian bot or you might as well be. Ciao.
October 7, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Because the Stalinist regime did not care about expending the lives of soldiers or civilians. The British maxim was ’steel not flesh’ whereas Stalin took all material support from the west except mine clearing equipment. They used their own soldiers to walk into minefields at gunpoint for that.

How odd for liberal democracies to be wary of a blood thirsty totalitarian imperialist psychopath heading a brutal refime that had already murdered 10s of millions of its own citizens.

80% of German economic output was expended on defending against the western allies. Productive capacity wins modern wars. Try reading ’How The War Was Won: Air Sea Power ans Allied Victory in WWII’ by Phillips O’Brien. Communist Russia only survived WWII through massive material support from UK+US
October 7, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Yeah.. I mean sure. Except have you heard of WWII and the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact. The ’left’ was only too happy to support fascist Germany and it was only when they got invaded the choice was made for them. It was ’liberal’ UK and (belatedly) the US that defeated fascism that time around.
