Isn’t the request for that information an admission by the attorney general that ICE agents in MN were really always there so that she could eventually try to shake down the state for that information rather than for any legitimate reason?

And Congress sits on their hands and does nothing. They are just as responsible for this.

"It was our country’s destiny to reflect ideals that made us an incandescent beacon for democracy," Maureen Dowd writes. "But Trump has pulverized those ideals. We are now seen as sinister, selfish, unruly and at everybody’s throats."

Libraries and museums get federal funding back after Trump cuts
Earlier this year, the Trump administration gutted the Institute of Museum and Library Services, leading to canceled federal grants. Now, after a court order, those grants are being reinstated.

Wealth inequality is eating this country alive. Concentrated wealth is already endangering our democracy. Wealth doesn’t just beget more wealth — it begets more power.

It’s a vicious cycle that destroys our economy and democracy at the same time.

When folks gripe about DEI, remind them who benefited from shutting out dancers like Copeland. That pattern runs through our whole history.

Big Oil is "wildly desperate to dodge the growing array of lawsuits over the damage caused by their decades-long scheme to deceive the public about climate change," writes @aaronregunberg.bsky.social.

The fossil fuel industry is again urging the Supreme Court to help them escape accountability.
The Supreme Court’s Ethics Code Is a Joke. Big Oil Knows That.
Oil companies want the Supreme Court to intervene to dismiss lawsuits about climate change. Amy Coney Barrett and Samuel Alito both have big conflicts of interest on that front.

You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.

Right on!

Alabama finally has someone ready to fight for the Alabama instead of letting Tuberville, a non-resident drifter, run his mouth from Florida.

Doug is stepping in with actual roots, actual plans, and an actual stake in the future of the state.

So I’ve made it official folks: I’ve filed the paperwork to run for Governor of Alabama. It’s time to remind this state of who we are and what we can accomplish together.

Great idea. Way to negate the impact of Citizens United …
How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.
