It is wild to me how many comments, posts, etc are demonizing the left or liberals over Charlie Kirk's death when literally NOBODY knows who assassinated him, nor do they know that unknown individual's ideologies. Can we wait?!

American "Christians" are creating exactly the environment they are working to avoid by encouraging fear of the "other". In a desire to create a safe world, they are creating one that is much less so - especially for them. We chose a king and created our own demise.

The most wasteful spending I've seen in "entitlement" funds has been from mistakes made by the entities responsible for distribution of benefits. Maybe some common sense policies, software/hardware upgrades, and training would be a better way to cut waste over the long term?

I am literally screaming. This is what they meant. American citizens deported overseas to foreign prisons. This is why we have due process. So there are not "accidental" deportations that have permanent consequences. And I call BS. We negotiate with foreign entities all the time for prisoners.

My thoughts based on my personal experience with Social Security that the new guidelines to "return" overpayments by withholding 100% of owed payments is the wrong policy for two reasons.

This thought has been rolling around in my head since circa 2014 that the same rules, laws, and guidelines that are being ignored surrounding our rights by some Christians will be the same rules, laws, and guidelines that are ignored when they come for Christians. 1/3

On my mind: How to explain that God allows our authorities, and yet, every corrupt nation (OT) was called to repentance under the authority of corrupt leadership. Just because God gives us the bad leader we've "asked" for does not negate our responsibility to call out their wrongdoing.

So, just to be clear ... protesting a war, human casualties, or promoting peace over conflict is sympathizing with a terrorist organization? Because that's what this is alluding to. And, this student says she wasn't part of the protest - just walking home in a brown body at the wrong time.

So, just to be clear ... protesting a war, human casualties, or promoting peace over conflict is sympathizing with a terrorist organization? Because that's what this is alluding to. And, this student says she wasn't part of the protest - just walking home in a brown body at the wrong time.
Are Federal employees who are being asked to return actually going back? I understand there are some people who won't have a financial choice ... but will they ever feel safe? This is just chaos.

Entitlement: "The amount to which a person has a right." Social Security and Medicare - even Medicaid are not something we as Americans have and take advantage of as Americans. We are literally ENTITLED (see definition above) to it because we pay for it. It's ours. IT'S OURS. #handsoffmymoney

I just don't have words. At best, what just played out in the Oval office was the worst diplomacy ever displayed by our government.... at worst - I cant even put into words. Zelensky has shown us the best of humanity in the last 3 years - and President Trump just called him stupid. I am so ashamed.

I think that White House Press secretary Leavitt has been very upfront about what DOGE is doing, and it is not about cutting waste. It's about aligning with the President's policies on DEI, etc... so anyone approving DOGE under the premise of cutting waste is not listening.

My heartbreak with Christianity [of the evangelical/nationalist sort] is that they've negated everything that drew me to Jesus to begin with. He cares for the poor? The sick? The oppressed? That's a God that can love ME. But, here in the US, the poor and sick are seen as parasites, not beloved.

I think if we've learned anything between 2020-2023 it's that bottom-up economics work more efficiently and faster than top down. [I understand there were other factors at play, but ...] Why are we so anxious to go back the other direction? If it ain't broke 🤷🏾♀️

This is what I have been saying. Trump has Congress. He could do everything he wants legally but he's choosing not to. Even Republicans should be asking themselves why Trump is acting outside of his constitutional power.
