We combine optogenetic stimulation of neurons with in situ cryo-ET to characterize membrane dynamics during synaptic vesicle fusion ❄️🔬⏱️

It turns out this works well for improving segmentation, and Cellpose3 offers a general solution for many segmentation tasks. Please see the full paper for all the details. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

After a long journey, Segment Anything for Microscopy is now published in Nature Methods! We significantly improve SAM for interactive and automatic segmentation in light and electron microscopy and build a user-friendly tool.
