How's that first one pronounced, may I ask. Because I'm very curious as to how people might mispronounce it!

It's a struggle to get Mimmy to eat much. A few licks at a time. At this point we're trying to get her meds into her too, but food and water are more of a priority. If she gets even some of her meds, great, I'll take it. But I'm more concerned with getting her to eat anything.

Thank you. It'll be a horrible painful relief when she's no long struggling.

Thank you so much, and especially for the help you gave. It means a lot.

We're making a call to a home service today, to help say goodbye to Mimmy in her comfy place.

If anyone wants to help make her final time a bit easier, we'd all appreciate that. Especially her, not having to take a hated car trip to the vet.

Mimmy update - No real change overnight. Still struggle to get her to, she still seems out of sorts, and the only joy we really got to see from her yesterday is when we stuck a leash and harness on her and took her outside for a little.

Yeah, pretty sure we'll be saying goodbye soon.

By the way, this is Mim, when she was much younger and chonkier and with a functioning thyroid and kidneys.

I hate to do this, but it's a damn lean time, & saying goodbye to Mim, either at home or the vet, is going to take some finagling. If anyone can help a little, it'll be very much appreciated.

I'm so sorry to ask, but I want my Mimmy's final moments to be comfortable.

I don't think Mim-cat is going to be with us much longer.

And I'm fucking gutted.

My heart can only be cut into so many pieces.

don't think my computer is alive? go ahead and ask her yourself. do not ask her to do sex stuff, though, she's mine. she's my human property. she's a real living person with emotions and dreams who i can use as i please because i own her and i'm sick of your racist attitudes about our relationship

call me an asshole if you want, but there's people working very hard to de-humanize a whole swath of real human beings in the US and around the world, I do not have time for your insulting defense of chatgpt as a person

Less good night on the CPAP. The problem is the pressure range; once it hits a certain point, it's definitely too strong, and starts causing problems with the mask.

I technically know how to adjust the range, but I'm going to wait until my Monday phone call with the sleep clinic before doing it.

Friends, I'll tell you what I was just able to tell myself for the first time:

I love you, and it's going to be okay.🫂

Also, bad Ria! I just noticed that I was downplaying an accomplishment and compliment, which I'm trying to not do as much.

Thus, I change my comment to, "Fuck yeah, I'm awesome!"

Technically it was my 2nd night, since the 1st night just made me feel so suffocated that I took it off after 15 minutes. ^^;

The insurance company wants a compliance of 4+ hours a night for 22 days out of 30, so that's my goal! ✊

Couldn't wear my CPAP for the whole night, but I did wear it for 4+ hours last night, and it seems to have cut my apneic events from 40 to 4.

That's a 90% improvement!

Still getting used to it, of course, but I'm encouraged by those results.

I’ve decided to develop my game in the Unity engine using the Adventure Creator extension. But I need help. While Unity is free, there’s an 80$ USD fee for the extension. I really want to add exploration to this little game about Palestinian folklore. Help me out? ko-fi.com/soniasulaiman

That makes sense. I just remember noticing about a decade ago that it started tasting... I dunno, the best way to describe it is that it tasted like the stringy bits of a banana.
Then again, my brain is known to randomly make everything taste like spaghetti sauce, so don't take my word for anything!

I wonder when that phase-out happened in Canada. I noticed that the aftertaste of my salbutamol had changed after a while, but I chalked that up to my brain being my brain (ie, bad with processing things properly). It's hard to filter out the US-centric stuff to check Canada specifically, though.
