Wow: Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (named for Holocaust survivor Raphael Lemkin, who coined term "genocide") calls Clinton's remarks "genocide denial."

"Young people in the US are not stupid or gullible. They simply reject genocide – something the Secretary might consider doing as well."

So they DO reduce your visibility in people's notifications with an algorithm. Given Bluesky's treatment of Palestinians on this site, it's not a stretch to think that they use this to reduce engagement for people whose politics and beliefs they do not like.
Hey remember that whole "Bluesky doesn't have algorithms" thing

If you want to help a family that has raised very little ❤️
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Hassan. Hassan had a private timber workshop before this. It was destroyed and so was his home and car. He is now living in a tent with his family including his children Joud, 8 and Ivana, 4. He really wants to rebuild his home ❤️

Seriously though, what topics would you like to hear me talk about? Craft, folklore, writing while disabled stuff? For the new year I’d like to start offering some talks and workshops.

FYI looks like GoFundMe is doing a new round of identity verifications for people in Gaza- so it is showing for many as their payouts are paused. Their campaign organizers should have an email about what they need to do next- it looks routine and not targeted- but they do need to respond

I’m going to take another day to go over these edits for the picture book I’ve been working on. It is an adaptation of one of my favourite Palestinian folktales. The dream is to illustrate it too but I don’t know if I can manage that.

I really love seeing the kind of roundup where lots of reviewers reflect on their reading like this. Both as an author & as a reader, it's wonderful to get a glimpse into what company a given book keeps at a critic's holiday party, & I'm delighted to see RHR here!
