I feel like the more you have something meaningful/nuanced to say on a topic frequently viewed as very black-and-white, and the more that you ask people to engage thoughtfully, the more visceral the reactions you get online. I wager you're saying much-needed things and I hope you keep saying them.

A LOT of GN publishers have this royalties-after-expenses model, and boy oh boy do they rack up the expenses. It's like Hollywood: even a very successful project, creatives with a post-expenses percentage stake often never actually see royalties, because you can creatively assign ANYTHING as a cost.
