Me
@bigappleafc.bsky.social
Gooner. Dad. Lawyer. NY native. Im usually the only white boy playing footy with my Latino brothers.
And for the professional writers.... Cox, Delaney, Cross and many others, how they have failed to cover the largest story in all of professional sports history - the serial robbery of the league they hold so dear - but to uncover the truth would make a fiction of all their body of work. Cowards
Take dimwit pundits, Neville, Deeney, Sutton, for all their sharp words... if they had any courage, they would ask hard questions of Pep and City ala 115 charges, or ask hard questions of PGMOL. They don't. Cowards.

Sort of like when a gentleman manager is let go, like a Ranieri, mainstream media can't wait to say he was "sacked." Its like a celebration by peasants when their liege lord is overthrown, like the best form of entertainment is to see the top dog fail in epic fashion
As an American fan of the premier league, I find the British media and culture hard to understand. There is a clear antagonist in the EPL, and it isnt Arsenal. We all know who the bad guy is.

And finally before I end my rant, the most unbearable part is when American EPL coverage try to follow the British model and then they fail so so bad. Its like a cover band of Milli Vanilli

From an outside observer, a consumer of American style sports reporting, which can be exhaustingly statisticly driven, especially in baseball, most of the coverage of the EPL in the newspapers and TV, is surface level nonsense about spending, sacking and mentality. It has been Stephen-a-smith-ified.

Or is it that the media channels owe a debt of loyalty to MCFC for disrupting the market and bringing more of the world's best players to this island?

If you know ball, you know Arsenal haven't bottled it for 3 years. You'd know the squads were thin and couldn't compete in the face of major injuries. Noone can.

Who are they chasing? Are they hoping that these senseless click-baity narratives will attract those who care not about football and bring them into the game?
To me, who has no family ties or geographic loyalty to anyone in the league, the game and the talent is good enough. I do not need the media narratives and punditry to sell to me what I would consume anyway. The narratives seem designed to sell a product into a market that is already saturated...

#ChrisKavanaughOut. Horrendous. Misses Semenyos pull on Rice during a counter, called several corner/throw ins the wrong way, missed the leg hold on GJ9, and if I am Bournemouth, I would be furious when he called the final whistle. What an incompetent prick

Bournemouth don't give up home goals, except today

I rate Iraola and Bournemouth. It was an exciting tactical game between childhood teammates. Now time to suffer through NBC's terrible punditry as I am not quite ready to turn off the footy. #elementary&superficialanalysis #NBCSportsOut

@clivepafc.bsky.social @arsenalvisionpodcast.com please I would love to your thoughts on Califori's role in Martinelli's equalizer. The whole play is very NFL esque

@nbcsportssoccer.bsky.social when you pass the mic to Gary Neville, I sign off. Don't bring on a pundit for an arsenal games who bread and butter is riling up arsenal fans. I won't take the bait. Sorry for you and your advertisers

Tierney at left wing, let's see it. As a traditional LB, he loves staying wide, he can track back on defense, he can cross, he is fast, and his can be direct. Short stint before he is off to Celtic. Why not?

January transfer window hard enough. Technical director on garden leave and we have a very young Jason Ayto possibly learning on the job. So curious what was happening behind the scenes. Could we simply not get a deal done. Did KSE fully trust Ayto with $$?

I won't engage with the banter from a certain pundit who click baits this fanbase. He knows which buttons to push (gabi/halaand rivalry) and is an expert wind up agent who lacks insightful takes.

Here we are
This place still feels a bit small, not football focused, but maybe we could try and connect Arsenal fans at least.

If you are an Arsenal fan, leave a reply, people can follow, also please repost or whatever it's called her and hopefully it can spread. #arsenal

Arteta's statements today were a signal to agents/ teams that we have a need. Until then, we shuffle
