A recurring thought occurs with Arsenal that they have 3 times come second to 115c.
Noorgard is upgrade on Jorginho, hincapie upgrade on zinchenko, Madueke an upgrade on sterling, Mosquera an upgrade on Kiwior (at CB), Zubi an upgrade on TP5. Across multiple seasons where we lost fine margins, these upgrades have mattered

100%. Citeh knew the rules when they bought Guehi. If this was important to them, they should have bought someone who wasn't cup-tied.
If the EFL want to change it for next season then fine but changing rules for an ongoing competition doesn't sound particularly fair.
Pep Guardiola says Manchester City intends to write to the English Football League to request a rule change so that Marc Guehi is available for the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.

By short period, I meant the short period of his senior career. Lots of appearances, but still a young man with alot to learn. IMO deservingly behind Ricky, Piero, and Timber. Not writing him off, just saying, he isnt keeping those guys out of the team.

He got 2 reds last season. 1 was later rescinded (should have been a yellow) but didnt change that we had to play a man down. 2 reds and 6 yellows across 37 appearances over past two seasons. This year, his limited appearances show lack of recovery speed. Check the stats yourself.

On merit, MLS is 4th string left back. Love him but he had multiple reds and mistakes in short period. If anyone else, they would be benched too. Put another way, how could the manager bench more senior players with fewer mistakes?

Kai sets a tone. If ref is allowing a a physical game, Kai says "ok, I can do that." Odegaard was mostly good when he came on, but once again very soft in duels i.e. watching his man head a ball. Kai raises physical intensity and steel in a way MO cannot

I think he earns his rep. Ozil also transformed the perception of arsenal as a selling club and nearly helped us stay in the title race. Over time, he spent more energy on the German MNT and was ostracized. Same is happening with Odegaard. When I see him lose duels, I see Ozil

Why does Ben white always look like he doesn't have a fogging clue when he takes a throw? Pick it up quickly, and find an open man. The longer he waits, the more the opponents get set, and the more runs the midfield must make to get open (again).

Meh, I put that 100% on saliba and arteta tactics. Yes most times zubi handles it, but Saliba dwells on the ball several times in that phase and attracts the pressure, which certainly is an arteta instruction

Ill look for that on the rewatch. There was a moment at the D, where he and merino gave the ball away, and eze gave everything to nick the counter pass and succeeded. I see a player trying to play his way in. In MO, I see a player trying not to get hurt. I see different effort levels.
