That's the word. Sorry, but yes, he had doubts about Veliz and, well...

This is perhaps more historical fiction than you're looking for but the first thing that came to mind was the Cicero trilogy by Robert Harris

I don't deny we're not playing well, but I do think the narrative is not as cut and dried as is made out. There are glimpses of positive play and I also think that, generally, we should not cut bait after six months. Frank had a rough start at Brentford as well.

I've only watched it back once, so I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain both goals we put in the net that were offside came from open play

That goes for managers too. Poch was a deflected free kick from the sack before he got things going.

We always seem to judge player recruitments of a director of football on way to brief a timeline though. Commoli is the best example but there are others too. Things aren't looking great right now, but we have got to stop cutting bait at the first sign of trouble.

That looks had almost nothing to do with Frank and everything to do with a bad moment from Xavi and a horrible ref

Is that not the risk of an adaptable manager?

Brioche is the Helder Postiga of burger buns. You want it to be good, but it's too sweet and collapses under the slightest pressure.

9 year average because that was the Premier League era, nothing more than that.

As for the 1960-80s point, it’s addressed in the full post: www.linkedin.com/posts/omar-c...

On the one hand, I tend to agree that the statement rambles through some of their grievances over the years. On the other hand, it's no secret that the relationship between the supporter trust and left has been contentious and it would be disingenuous to pretend otherwise.

There seem to be two conflicting narratives coming from the club/sources: 1) succession planning has been moving for some time and this was planned; 2) the Lewis family forced him out suddenly today. Can you help us square that circle?

The complete list of clubs to break the Premier League's "Big Four" without oil money: Tottenham Hotspur.

That's it. Levy did what nobody else could do. You can complain about a lot of choices he made (I have), but all that money he made the club made them winners far beyond any peer.

Rating transfer windows is so difficult. We won't really know for a couple years whether it's good or bad. It's all narrative and trying to assign future success based on previous performance.

I'm confused by your argument here. We've been strongly linked to most of the names on this list, it seems pretty focused to me? Rodrygo, Savinho seem to be optimistic efforts to sign extreme talents.

Where our strategy warrants criticism is once we identify our top choice, we stop pursuing others

Before the game, there was talk Spurs would be embarrassed. That we should do well to keep them from bagging any more than 3. Hard not to feel down about the way the game ended, but proud of that performance. The lads showed Spurs belong on this stage. Who knows what the season holds, but to dare...
