The deeper and longer your breath, the deeper and wilder your ability to control your mind and body become. Do not let this people enslave you. Stay present, stay mindful, stay regulated. Fight when the time calls for it. Flee when the battle is to much. Freeze only when safe to do so.

Yogis, sages, medicine people, shamans, and other land based practitioners understand the power of the breath and humming. So monks dedicate their life to breathing and controlling it to the point of one breath per hour.

But Jessie, breathing doesn’t work. It does but it may take several minutes for the practice to register to the brain to tell the body to calm down. In some instance you may have do a breathing exercise for more than 30 mins. Rest and releasing are vital to surviving this.

Going outside sitting with the earth, offering something in return, being wholly present with other beings. Using 5,4,3,2,1 grounding to engross all of your sense into the natural world. Combats loneliness and other mood disorders.

Ocean breathing and bee breathing are some of the best for regulation. Playing, singing, humming, and dancing, all great for getting the body out of stress. Screaming and ragging at an object great for releasing.
