All over the world the "centre" parties are abandoning trans people, cheerfully funding and supporting genocide, and are in favour of increasingly racist immigration policy.
At some point you need to decide if you can live with yourself by voting for that.

We aren't going to forgive anyone who supported and funded the genocide in Gaza no matter what political party they belong to.

It's a mad, mad system. But people pretended that it worked and for the longest time it provided some measure of stability.
But if you just stop pretending then it all breaks down. That's happening here. It's happening in Aus. Our systems will hold up only as long as we allow them to.

Kiwi here. And the idea that we are somehow immune to the shenanigans we are seeing in the US and the UK is simply not true. It doesn't matter the system. They are and will manipulate it. You can't put all the blame on Murdoch. Because we all allowed it to happen.

It is distressing that Labour are going to sleep walk us into fascism the same way as every other "centre left" party has done around the world.

It wouldn't matter if they knew this or not. They just don't care. It's part of the playbook. And they are ramming through as much of the playbook as they can before the next election counting on the fact that Labour won't repeal.

Trans women are women. Organisations aren't being forced to accept men into women's organisations. That wasn't a thing that was happening.

I think it's important to bring the conversation back to the genocide in Gaza. And how at least 60,000 people were killed, tens of thousands are missing, thousands were tortured, much of Gaza levelled, starvation, hospitals destroyed...all under Biden.
