Finally got around to installing some software on the Framework Desktop. I'm astounded at how much faster it is than my old PC. Fusion orbits are silky smooth and the Bambu Studio slicer is super snappy. Next step is moving it upstairs to my desk and beginning the migration of everything else to it.
framework desktop, nec 18" HD LCD, keychron tkl keyboard, cheap logitech mouse sitting on a workbench in a makeshift studio in an unfinished basement.

welp insurance company paid my hand x-ray claim but not my index finger x-ray claim because apparently they're too stupid to know the difference between what is visible in each series.

Maybe if it had its own screen and didn't require wifi and didn't require an app and didn't require a subscription. I'm cheap and a Luddite. It does look neat though.

All the major brands control retail pricing now so it's impossible for Amazon to have a better deal than anybody else on anything of any significance except for possibly last year's junk.

Anytime after dark to about 10 pm. Knock and there's probably beer and chips. Door bell button doesn't do anything. Wolves are going out closer to Halloween.

Outrageous! The moon rotation in this shot of
The Lion King remake implies it was shot far into the northern hemisphere. What happened to realism? Literally unwatchable.
Screenshot of shot with the full moon rising in front of Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa. Below are three moon diagrams showing the proper orientation of the moon from the northern hemisphere, equator (Kenya) and southern hemisphere. The moon from the film is aligned to the northern hemisphere version because realism means nothing any longer.

2024 Halloween me decided to be nice to 2025 Halloween me and label things for what they are for, but he also hid 2 of the 9 Hue spotlights as a challenge in a separate stash in the garage. #wolf
three hue 40W power supplies with p-touch labels on them that read "ground wolf," "roof wolf," and "tombstones."

I went to Soapstone once but the gate malfunctioned and was closed. I called the ranger on duty and he told me to just ride Red Mountain instead so I ditched my truck at the closed gate and went for the 35 mile-ish day. By the time I was back at the gate, it was open. Prob not what ranger intended.😂
