🧵 1/8 - Hi! I'm a queer epic fantasy author, writer of the Noss Saga. Other than writing and illustrating my novels, I do a lot of other art, including cinematography at Disney animation (Zootopia, Frozen, Moana, etc). Follow this pinned thread to see the kinds of work I do.

Last few pages of @joabaldwin.com ‘s Wolf of Withervale and I’m in tears. I’ve never had a book bring me to tears before. I’m so glad I finally got my paws on this book and I will be immediately filling my bookshelf with the second and third books. Also lending this one to my mom for sure >:3c

I once pointed this out too and the Star Wars fans didn't appreciate it but why wouldn't you want a 96-foot tall Rey?

Poster for Star Wars The Force Awakens has Rey standing on a pointy rock. I recognized the rock as a hill of rocks in Vasquez Rocks, California, and overlaid the images with the actual formation to show that Rey must be 96 feet tall in order to match that scale.

Thanks! I cleaned up for the photo :D ... That's normally the desk where I sign/doodle, and where I do the packing and shipping stuff. Small space when you need to work with hundreds of brick-thick books.

Making more Qupis today. The one from the video is my prototype—now that I know what I'm doing, I'm making a nicer one while recording every step, so I can cut a tutorial when done.

Work desk with Qupi chips at different stages. The desk has lots of Vallejo paints, magnets on top of nails to hold the magnetic chips, Noss Saga bookmarks and postcards, brushes, and various other tools.
