Interesting that the IRS has the same number of call center employees throughout the year.

Flexing that makes sense.

Just got done with Berkshire.

Sounds like Buffett will be on Earth for a while longer.

Was worried we might be going the other way there.

Time for him to get that sex change!

Rumor has it the bots don’t exist here. Can this be true?

Private equity returns are going to suck.

Hated parts of the market will outperform over the next 10 years.

FANGM is not overvalued.

Private credit isn’t worth the risk.

Patience will be rewarded.

This isn’t 1999. But it’s getting close. And we will get there.

Those are my thoughts.

This week’s podcast dropped yesterday. Fun convo.

As an aside, Spotify has become a real pain in the ass to upload to. And the Spotify link wouldn’t copy to paste here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Prolly a function of my age but I have a lot of people I interact with that are asking themselves “now what?”

I don’t see how people could think this. The guy had 4 years to assemble a group of people that would work with him instead of against him.
I think @conorsen.bsky.social is right. Most folks are of the mind that the new administration will be just like 2017. There is a lot of rationalizing going on.

Marcus notes in his post that, while synthetic data isn't nearly as valuable in general, you can use it to train step-by-step reasoning. What is the primary benefit of Blue Sky vs Twitter?

Haven’t been tweeting much. Have tweeting block. Open to tweeting (or whatever you call this) here.

Kind of prefer fewer followers. For now at least.

Are we still doing this or are we all going to Threads?

Oh boy. Que people getting upset.
Look, again, I know it doesn't fit the narrow technical definition, but we may as well retire the term "soft landing" at this point

If what we've had - from peaks of 14.7% unemployment & 9+% inflation, w/ no decline in real income & 2+ years of job growth - isn't a soft landing, the term is useless
