It’s not even that big. It’s off to the Senate where they will delay it. When they pass it, it will likely be amended and have to go back to the house.

They will play hot potato with it until Bondi has the files all destroyed and redacted.

I sadly think we will get the victims version first.

I think this is going to be more like the cheap price tags at the dollar store.

Tiny tag that takes 30 minutes peeling it off sliver by sliver and then still leaves a smudge.

Trump told them to vote for it. It means they had time to plan more delays and destroy docs.

It’s a very short bill with an enormous loophole in it.

The end of this story is so predictable.

I’m waiting for the Clinton Tower references.

So we know for certain they are planning for the DOJ to hold the line with an “ongoing investigation” so they cannot release the files.

Or that they have had enough time to destroy and redact.

Johnson was just buying them time for something.

Or he signs and the DOJ says, “We will comply after we finish the active investigation”.

There are a lot of different positions on ICE and thats definitely one of them.

One that will turn off democratic voters while also not attracting any GOP votes.

If Mamdani is an example on how to win as a Dem in 2025, this quote is a poster child on how to fail as one.

I guess.

It seems to me he’s acting like a guy who has the power of the POTUS supporting him and is not afraid of the 2026 midterms.

His job wasn’t to stop their release. His job was just to delay it long enough for them to make other plans and modify/destroy documents.

He did what they needed.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov - You would probably rate a little higher if your Illinois State Police weren’t beating faith leaders and other friends of ours in Broadview to protect ICE.

For all the good you’ve done here you have decided this is the issue worth losing our trust. Protecting ICE.

There shouldn’t be a purity test if someone wants to pick up a sledgehammer and take a few swings at the cracking dam.

We don’t have to ally with or forgive her. Just step aside and let her go at it.
November 17, 2025 at 8:44 PM
The stories of Clinton at Maralago and Clinton Tower will be weird.

So much is going to be hard to remove the context from. Clinton isn’t known for going to model shows.

I had a headlamp blow in Douglass Park.

As I was leaving, a black man working in the church lot I parked in waved me down. The part of that conversation that still sits with me today was him saying:

“The cops are the worst gang here and they won’t care you‘re white”.

JD didn’t take his sofa to pound town either but a year later it still pops up in memes and other places.

Who cares if it’s true when the opponent is a fascist? If it’s working then run with it.

Looks like her attempt to get in line with the other scumbags at Trumps Discount Pardons.

@revdrmichaelwoolf.bsky.social wrote this for faith leaders this week.

He’s the pastor from the pictures in the national news this week being pinned to the ground in Broadview by @govpritzker.illinois.gov‘s Illinois State Police jackboots.
Why clergy should risk assault to protest ICE
(RNS) — For people wanting to experience God, we are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church.

I keep telling the Christians in my life they need to actively admonish the MAGA churches and their beliefs or the rest of us are going to assume they are all the same.

So far it's been mostly, "My church is welcome and accepting".

The man in this picture is a huge minority. He also wrote this.

And the churches who do not speak out against them are at least not opposed.

We’ve seen more speaking up lately. The Pope for one. We‘ve had faith leaders assaulted by jackboots for months down in Broadview.

If more do not stand against it we will have to assume they are for it.

Was surprised to see this. It was great.

Then I saw it’s from a new album they just threw out there with no fanfare at all? They just dropped this amazing album on bandcamp and walked away without saying a word?

Still the best.

I felt It’s about the size you said. I don’t know if it will bring him down, but it is a crack in the dam. It’s one less loyalist in the house which could inspire a few others to break ranks.

He doesn’t have huge margins in Congress.

Charlotte is almost 39% white, 32% black, 16% hispanic. Whites are the largest group by themselves but are not a majority of the city.

Charlotte also has a democrat black woman mayor.

They want to publicly bully Vi Lyles like they've done other mayors while beating non-whites.

Well, volunteer now if your area needs it.

We had 1/3 to 1/2 full shifts until Nov 1. Now shifts outside of 8-5 M-F are full through Christmas. Plenty of space after that.

It’s nice people step up for the holidays. It would be better if they committed, esp those who claim to follow Jesus.
