I feel like statistically, it is highly improbable there is not *some* other life out there. But little green men in spaceships? Hard no.
The vibes have really shifted following the elections. Protests, chaos, polls, and electoral defeats have thoroughly demonstrated Trump’s unpopularity and institutions are now more emboldened to fight back.

I generally agree that the profit motive provides incentives to innovate to reduce costs. However this “innovation” frequently looks like cutting very important corners.

Something that is hardly ever addressed in the “declining birthrates” discourse is that a lot of people find the idea of raising a child unpleasant. The work is hard, it requires a lot of personal and professional sacrifice. People enjoy their comfortable lives and don’t want to give that up!
