Everton surviving the last few years, getting the stadium built, getting sold to decent buyers, had a good summer in terms of transfers and now are a good watch again. Wouldn’t have put money on that outcome a couple years ago. It’s nice to see, though!

Talked about this earlier but the passing map reinforces it. Simons naturally drifts left - we need someone on the right to combine with Porro and Kudus. Either the striker drops into the space or someone plays the 8 that can pass. Everything on the right was hit and chase (worked), but need more.

Nothing in that match was worth getting too worked up over. I am concerned that we only seem to be able to work one side of the pitch or the other (depending on where Simons is), but it didn’t cost us today. Would love to see Frank get a bit more creative when Deki returns. Benhinha still bugs me.
