Should redevelop it as an upmarket tourist hotel and use the money to build a modern building fit for purpose (eg the Scottish Parliament horseshoe shape) where MPs can actually debate rather than shout at each other across the divide waving their willy-swords at each other 🙄

Sadly it doesn’t work that way in practice. Pedestrian rights are at the bottom of the pile which puts a lot of people off walking at all when exhaust fumes, inconsiderate cyclists, narrow pavements and lack of safe crossing places are factored in. Very few crossings or cycle lanes in my vicinity 😢

I know you are a bicycle advocate 👍 but it would also be good if all cyclists would spare a thought for vulnerable pedestrians (who really are the most eco travellers) and walk their bike when using the pavement instead of riding just as fast as if they were still on the road.
