I keep reading posts/articles saying the govt has done x or y and being really shocked… until I realise they’re actually talking about the last Tory sh*t-shower govt!
So I think that when people write about ‘the govt’ they should be made to make it absolutely clear which one they’re talking about.

The law requires French municipalities to remove parking spaces for motor vehicles within 5 m of pedestrian crossings by December 31, 2026 to allow people to see clearly when they cross.
Paris is ahead of the game and plans to do this for more than 40,000 crossings by September 2025.
