The #DrWho 2024 Christmas special made us cry happy tears. It was SO well written. It was the shot of non-cynical, hopeful, queer, “timey wimey,” and fun fantasy/sci-fi that we desperately needed.

We were at the gym actively avoiding all the stupid news channels. Ugh. BUT they have that virtual jukebox thing where you can request songs on an app. Most folks were plugged into earbuds, but the ones that weren’t got to hear my curated songs. And take care of yourself. Cos screw the oligarchy.

I got a text from a Mexican friend who now lives in Washington. I had to laugh because Caifanes is my favorite rock en español band since I was 16. I wish I could go, but I teach that night! Ojalá!

I was making dinner, Eric was washing dishes, and Q. Lazarus’ Goodbye Horses came on the speakers. My sweet husband started to gyrate and shake his booty. I HAD to tell him, “You’re the cutest in the world but there’s actually a dance that goes with this song.” Anyway, here he is having a mocktail.
