Zeke relies on the job not only for income, but as shelter too... living in one of the honeymoon suites, he'd have to consider where he'd live if it shut down.

this is actually a very big plot point in my first book!! (hopefully releasing on Valentine's Day 2026 💕)

none of them really consider that the hotel COULD get shut down for good. the hotel has been a presence within the town for many generations, and they've all grown accustomed to it looming over them. Lewis in particular REALLY loves the place, so it would be hard on him to have to find a new job :(

it's a deadbeat job, but Lewis' management style is kiiinda uptight lol. Zeke's the new-hire, so he learns all about the local wives tales and long gone history.
