Somehow this place didn't make it. A restaurant on Mission St., San Francisco about 10 years ago. These are, I swear, select actual items from their menu.

Hong Kong has many virtues, but is noted for its crowded housing. One public housing project was named "Pak Tin," which tickled me.. couldn't find my (dull) picture of it, so here's a shot of another, optimistically named "Healthy Village."

A demo I did solo, trying out for penciling and coloring Dan Brereton's cool women-in-demon-prison Vampirella tale for editor Bon Amiglano. Inker was the best, my pal Mike Manley. ~2008.
(I did OK, but soon felt I'd drawn it too NICE: eye-comforting, rather than seamy and intense.)

From Rick Remender's "Doll & Creature", c. 2000. Pencils mine, inking by Mike Manley. Toning by the then young Peter Secosh and/or Jeremy Saliba. These guys made this maybe the most beautifully crafted page I've ever had a hand in.

"Action Planet Comics Hot Twisted Love." I was goofing on old love comics, written for females by men. The story that inspired me was drawn beautifully by Frazetta! I stole a couple lines whole, which appear all in boldface on the last page.

In this solo effort, I aimed to draw à la W. Wood. FUN!

My 2-yr stint as a Marvel guy was not much. My superhero penciling was so-so. Still, 5 years on, Rick Remender brought me onto his new title "Doll and Creature"! He chose to make it all-action for the first hunk of pages. A ballsy move, considering. I didn't stink it up, sez 2025 me!

Typical artsy type: just spent hours making tweaks to this that not one person in ten would notice. 🤨😑… Anyway, see you Saturday, true lovers of America!

I grew up wanting to draw Batman, but only ever got two small jobs from DC. (Pure cowardice on my part, nothing more.) Here's one of them--my meh background inks on Elseworld's Finest, with an alternate-reality Superman and Batman. Main art team? Talented, likeable Kieron Dwyer and Hilary Barta!

Showcasing a couple of collaborations with inker extraordinaire Mike [email protected] !Pencils by me. 1-Doll and Creature, written by no less than late-90s Rick @remender.bsky.social, in full world-building, action-packing mode!
2-"Elvira meets Superduperman"--Jo Duffy's script was a gem!

So I used to pencil Elvira comics.
Saw these old sketches today in Photos. Nowadays, even wanky ol' sketchbook inking of 20 yrs ago looks pretty decent (to me) and tough-to-equal (for me)!
In the first 2 drawings, a take-off version of the Catwoman, "The Purr-loiner", in civvies and in costume.

Want to show off a drawing I made a few years ago, when I drew better, (and Trump was fatter). Now I carry it as a sign at protests. It gets a reaction.😊
