The improved variants are compatible with therapeutic T cell editing and Cas9-guided programmable integration. We also observed domain acquisitions in parts of the HyPB phylogeny. Stay tuned for future work on improving gene writing systems.🧬❇️

We explored and experimentally tested the natural diversity of PiggyBac transposases. We then used protein language models to enhance the efficiency of the current best PiggyBac transposase, Hyperactive PiggyBac.
