What a sunset this evening.

Cast on a Christmas sock with west Yorkshire spinners sock yarn in Holly Berry. Had a chilled St Stephen's Day.

The dog got some new toys and treats from Santa Paws which she liked. She got some tasty treats during the day and kept a keen eye on the cooking in case we slipped up and left a joint of meat within reach.

My dad wasn't well today so my mum and I did the cooking today. The turkey turned out very tasty. Traditional dinner as that's what they all like. A really lovely day today.

Fat Bottomed Santa has almost finished his festive duties. Looks like he's hitting the sauce.

A lovely cold clear day out there. Went for a walk with the dog. Found a perfect little Christmas tree in the lane where snow is most definitely not glistening.

The big shop is done. The last presents are in. Time to start the christmas jigsaw my mum got me. It's very on brand for me.

At my parents house and I had my yarn and new book delivered there. This Is Knit is a wonderful Irish yarn shop. The Laine book has so many lovely patterns in it.

It's roof was reconstructed so it's not the same. Still very interesting inside, there's some rock art inside to go with the art outside.

There's a spot something like this in Dublin too. First chapter on Fade St.

Made gingerbread the lazy way with the kids. Got premade dough in Aldi. Neither of them have any interest in baking so they only have patience for the rolling and cutting out part.

Argh! Same few minutes ago another fecking one.

Think April might have a side gig that we don't know about. Here's a dog just like her in the Aldi catalogue this week.

I'm a bit wiser about my hearing now so here's the ear plug selection for tonight. The loops are ok but often muffle things so I've heard good things about etymotic and will try them tonight. Normal foam ones in case it's very loud.

Part of the pre show email warns about how loud it will be. I’m sure lots of people going won’t know MBV that well and I can see how you might really dislike the whole thing.

Yes there's different settings. I didn't know if I wanted to mute the word America forever you know so just tried it out for a week but now it will be longer.

Haven't heard great things but I'm giving #GameOfWool a go while knitting my christmas jumper.

They did duel, powerball, gauntlet and the wall. Then a break and the contenders did the eliminator. Radzi and Maia were great hosts. Lots of fun crowd bits too. #Gladiators

Went to the Gladiators Live Show in Liverpool yesterday. It was really great. C loved it and he was delighted to get a foam finger. All the events look much harder in real life! Powerball is savage.

Went for a nice walk around the Botanic Gardens today, they have a fun pumpkin competition. We visited our favourite tree the E Woodii, it seems to be in good form.

I'm a woman in my 40s and yet people here are speaking to me about the mittens I knit as if I was an 8 year old who did well on a spelling test. Sigh.
