Let us all make our art, the weirder the better.

I’m casting on some goth mittens, my eldest designed the colourwork. Of course the background colour is black to make things hard on my eyes. #knitting 🧶

I've been meaning to read the melancholy of resistance by László Krasznahorkai ages so I should probably do that now.

Just listened to part one of this excellent podcast. I've read a few books about Shackleton but learned something new. In college I lived across the road from a house he lived in when he was young.

Coming Tuesday, Oct 7, "Sir Ernest Shackleton: The Boss." This 2-part series will cover the entire life of the famed explorer. His feats of survival in the face of certain death cemented his place in history and legend.

Ernest Shacklton stands on a boat in a heavy turtleneck sweater with a blackened, sunburned, and windburned face. A sled dog is visible to his right.

I feel like most Irish and British writers who complain about being silenced have never done anything as brave as what Naoise has done here

Niall Donald talking about how Jim Gavin ripped him off included the truest, most Irish statement I’ve ever heard in my life, like this absolutely would be what your friends would say to you in these circumstances

Going through it at the moment. It's not all sewing and knitting and nice things here. But today a load of interesting birds appeared in my garden as if they knew I needed to see them.

Seeing adverts for Kickstarter and it seems it's now a website that sells jackets with an ever increasing amount of ridiculous pockets.

Just to be clear, an English degree - learning to critically assess texts - is actually one of the most dangerous for people such as Badenoch.

An educated population, able to bring hundreds of years of context to statements in a dawning age of AI slop and attention-seeking dishonesty is also vital.

So, the plan is to cut English, the arts, and sociology - the degrees that actually study culture - while on another part of your platform claiming to “defend” British culture.

It’s performance nationalism with a reading age of seven.

More Irish activists have now been taken by the IDF from international waters including author Naoise Dolan, TD Barry Heneghan and psychiatrist Veronica O’Keane.

They are part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

It's a nice pattern. The details are nice I think and makes it more interesting to make.

I couldn't remember where I got this fabric but when I texted the group chat a friend said she'd sent it to me. So she was happy that it's being used.

Finished sewing the cielo top by closet core this morning. It turned out really nicely. Lots of nice details like the cuffs and slight gathers on the sleeves. I like how the darts were placed too. #Sewing #GarmentSewing

Three of the kidnapped Irish participants on the Global Sumud Flotilla arrived home to a huge welcome last night. They talk about why they tried to break apartheid Israel's illegal siege of Gaza, acting because our governments refuse to. #FreePalestine #LiftTheSiege
