since i use 3D models as a reference for my art, my sketches tend to be relatively clean and i often use them as lineart, so i had to find more messy examples to provide a better comparison! ; w ; 💗

Sketch vs final!! I'm so proud of this piece- gradient maps make me happy lol!

My sketch process is pretty much going from basic shapes into lines haha, then I add some additional details to distinguish shadows and levels! That's when it really comes together 💕

I often make a first rough traditional sketch on paper to get a feeling for vibes and poses, then drawing a multi-colour digital sketch on top
My lineart usually deviates a lot from my sketch🙈

I always use red lines for sketching. The first sketch is getting the general idea out of my head, then a cleaner version of it. Then line art and flat colors. Shading and then BG and rendering ❤️

since i WFH and have the luxury (/requirement due to my janky chronically ill body) of slow mornings, i'm hoping i can incorporate them into my morning routine! it'd definitely be nice for mindfulness 💕
