With these now explicit threats to use the Kirk killing as the pretext to attack liberal political groups, and given the Ds hold the cards at the end of the month, what are @chuckschumer.com and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social going to do about this? www.nytimes.com/2025/09/15/u...

lololololol

Let's pass this around and shove it everywhere.

If the far right can lie about who that asshole is to try to turn him into some kind of martyr, then hey, so can we.

“well this is certainly a bold departure from political norms!” as they are marched to the gulag

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.

I actually liked the first one as a kid. I didn't understand back then why it was so hated (even though I got frustrated from dying by running into things at high speed, and got used to having to repeatedly stop to look ahead...).

Bugs are the one type of creature that as a whole can survive basically anything. Even if 99% of a bug species is wiped out, the rest will find a way to survive and continue on. They're tiny and have tons of babies and live in many environments.

Unfortunately for everyone who deals with them!

And it's been brought by the same person who refused to recognize a same sex marriage like a decade ago, despite that being part of her job. A decade since, and she hasn't gotten any better.

Uh oh, she's already attacking the drawer handles! /j

Wow. What a... design.

I don't remember too much from the 2007-2010 era actually. I do remember it being the least fun I had gaming. I wasn't enjoying my Wii that much, but eventually I found Little Big Planet on PS3, and Deadly Premonition on X360, which became a favorite of mine.

In that pile, I liked Uncharted 1 and 2 (moreso 1, as I felt 2 felt too scripted), Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 (moreso 1, as I felt 2 was too gimmicky) and Left 4 Dead. The rest don't look like my kind of thing at all.

I feel like today, I can find way more games I can get into thanks to indies.

Agreed. I was born in 1981, and once I step aside from nostalgia telling me "period you were 7-17 was magical" and look at now, I have way more fun playing games like the Splatoon series, Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, Deltarune, and so much more.

And it's that feature that I honestly feel should make a comeback in a horror game or something. The player ends up in a helpless situation and doesn't die from it immediately, but knows they're screwed. Kinda like the ruby in Uninvited - that was another one that left an impression on me.
birdocean.bsky.social
It left an impression on me as a kid as being the first game I'd seen (and one of the very few) where you become helpless and die *slowly*. Touch fire, catch on fire, die a few seconds later instead of instantly. Get wrapped in spiderweb, spider leaves, comes back, then eats you.

I remember Funcoland's reputation for being full of liars. In my experience, they certainly were. I went to buy Sonic Adventure, and I was told that the 2-player mode were the second player could control Tails wasn't in the game, and that it had a 40-minute unskippable cutscene. Lying assholes.
