I need to file a dispute with the data set behind Tubedoku as it relates to my local station, which I am pretty certain is just on the Lewisham side of the boundary with Greenwich

After eight or nine months, it appears there's finally a path through the centre of Lewisham Gateway again! Just the small matter of the developers/owners actually fixing the flooded basement/water/heating system so people can move back in and shops/cinema can resume setup – if they even want to now
The previously fenced-off central pathway from station to town centre has now had its fencing shifted so it allows for a path through the site. There's no other sign of activity

Every one of the 19 Self Esteem shows we've seen now has been incredible, obviously, but there was something even bigger in these last two Brixton shows. Friday's audience's rapturous reception seemed to raise her up higher than ever, while tonight's had her in tears before she'd even sung a note 🤍🖤

Asked for his message to Londoners, Burnham says: “It's not an antagonistic message. It's saying that London needs to be more liveable, for young people particularly…. We are like where London was in the 90s. We're going through that change at the moment. And we've got to be careful that we don't lose some of what I think London lost in that period.” He says the focus on London’s economic growth by officials in the Treasury risked “overheating” the city and “takes the soul of it to some degree”. His son lives in the capital and he worries about how unaffordable London is becoming, especially with foreign money flowing into the property market: “It was common that four or five people from my old college would be in Greenwich in a house together. I just don't think they could do that now, could they?” Despite this, he says the two cities’ interests are bound together: “London will always be London. London will always be the capital city. I'm patriotic, believe it not. I'm proud of London. However, it helps the South Pole to have a North Pole.” He says at the very least he wants Greater Manchester’s residents to have the infrastructure and opportunities that the capital’s residents take for granted: "Let me dispel this myth in London Centric: I've never been anti-London. I've noticed in London there's a bit of tetchiness about this. It's not anti-London to say we want the same as London.” The irony, as Burnham knows, is that many of the people running London are now looking enviously at Manchester.

I see Harry Cole and Alex Wickham, both MSM-laundered graduates of the Paul Staines school of gutter journalism, are defending Paul Ovenden (or quoting others doing so) and saying he shouldn't have been let go, so I am comfortable he absolutely should have been let go
Quotes from various journalists about Ovenden's resignation, including Harry Cole saying: "Bad news for No10 as Paul Ovenden was leading member of the reality based community left in Downing Street. Presumably why he’s been taken out now in a factional hit job. Would anyone really enjoy their 8 year old leaked WhatsApps being made public?" And Alex Wickham sharing an anonymous positive quote: Government source on Ovenden’s departure: “He is one of the best. None of us would be working in this building without him - and this country wouldn’t have had the chance for a better future without him.”

I dare say Andy Burnham does fancy becoming Labour leader. I also think this statement probably does accurately represent mainstream Labour Party members' views, as this new group wants to, so it shouldn't be covered solely as Burnham starting some sort of ousting process
Extract from a Guardian article, which says: Luke Hurst, Mainstream's national coordinator, said: "Peter Mandelson's inevitable sacking is what happens when you put your party faction's interest before your party and before the country. "If Starmer keeps running a narrow and brittle political project it will break him and could break the Labour party. We need a government and party of all the talents and all the views."

On the topic of NYT puzzles, I enjoyed the shapes of at least two words in Saturday's Strands puzzle enough to try to make this work for all of them
The answer to the Strands puzzle with a theme of "Gastronomic gadgets". The Spangram is "Kitchen tools" and the answers are things like Corkscrew, which appears in the grid in a zig-zag shape, and Spatula, which appears in a long vertical line with a rhombus at the bottom The same puzzle solution but now all the answers have been covered up with carefully aligned photos of the gadgets in question. Some work a lot bette than others
