Caught up now so I can move Bluesky back out of the red homescreen folder called NO I'd replaced it with yesterday when I kept reflex-opening it and then remembering. Not that it mattered anyway because I had the result spoiled by Jack Rooke's Instagram story, of all things 🤦🏻

(That was quite the reawakening as I was about to put my phone down and go to sleep here in the land of prominent earthquake prepapredness)

I think my subtweeting wasn't very clear here. The person was saying do not ever message a host on the day to cancel as they will worry no-one is coming when they get lots of cancellations on the day. They said it based on several experiences, so I wondered if my strong disagreement was my ND fault!

(Also their events sound much bigger than my parties, so that may be the more relevant difference here)

Oh that's a great one, and not one I would have thought of as being on the TfL list, though I did get Elmers End for a "letter thrice" recently. (Side note: I assume no trams would ever be valid for any of the fare zones ones, even those with zoned national rail stations attached)

I'm playing in Hardcore Mode and I did get there eventually, which feels like more of an achievement now I've seen you say there may not be many! I decided to think about really long names (and always try to keep it local where I can) so Cutty Sark For Maritime Greenwich was one of my three 😁

The World Of Love
★★★★☆
Ended our festival with this Korean drama exploring teen love, family dynamics, support networks and repressed trauma, with some brilliant performances from a largely young cast

Rental Family

This tale of a US actor working for a 'rental family' business in Tokyo brings depth and warmth to a superficially lighthearted topic. What if the people hired to lie or apologise to 'help' clients get around Japanese societal constrictions become too involved?

What Marielle Knows
★★★☆☆
Entertaining German dark comedy about a young girl who can suddenly see and hear everything both her parents see and hear. Enjoyed it, with plenty to laugh and cringe at, but behaviours all round stretch credibility and the plot rather fizzles out.

Broken English
★★★★☆
Documentary about the varied and media-maligned career of Marianne Faithfull, told via a unique twist on the interviews-and-archive-footage format which sets it all in a Ministry for Not Forgetting and includes musical tributes. Went in clueless, came out a fan!
