As awful as the whole situation is, it was pretty surreal to see TV-Asahi cut right from the end of Gozyuger, with no next time trailer, outro or anything, then run the same Acuvue commercial four times in a row. Super Hero Time ending with the announcer cursing out the viewers would be less awkward

I have a lot of nostalgia for those movies but I really didn’t feel like any of them were a family. Ben was just the funny best friend, Johnny was a really weirdly overdone Womanizer, and Jessica Alba wasn’t the smart yet strong woman Susan is because she was literally cast as eye candy.
I genuinely hope that FF: First Steps leads to a reconsideration of the much maligned Tim Story films, because as flawed as they are, they have so much more heart & personality and are honestly still a blast to watch while First Steps diminishes with every repeat viewing
