this entire extra was pure fluff. literally one page before this, sqq was teasing lbh by refusing to let him hold hands.

As he watched the Badass Darkened Demon Lord Luo Binghe work patiently, acting as sweet as a true apple of his eye, Shen Qingqiu inevitably began to float with happiness. It felt so wonderful; his gaze on Luo Binghe couldn’t help but fill with more and more parental affection. Meanwhile, with every two lines Luo Binghe spoke, he looked over at Shen Qingqiu as well—and once his gaze shifted over, it was unable to leave. In this way, master and disciple spent a long period of time making eyes at each other before Shen Qingqiu suddenly and finally snapped out of it.
How immoral were they being?!
On their way to the room in question, Luo Binghe kept trying to hold his hand. Shen Qingqiu was 1) worried about outsiders, and 2) wanted to tease him, so he purposely refused to let him. The two of them skirted around each other, whipping out all sorts of tricks. If anyone from the cultivation world or Demon Realm had seen this master and disciple duo using their sect’s techniques to play fight (flirt), until those arts were unrecognizable, they would definitely have coughed up three liters of blood.

they are blatantly flirting, its what sqq DOES. he's thin faced, embarrassed by his own desire, and loves playing hard to get. he WANTS to be pestered, & lbh loves teasing. how could you possibly think lbh pouting about being exiled from the bathtub is abusive? he stops pouting "in a snap" anyway.

Yup, Shen Qingqiu was terrified to realize that the scariest part was that he was actually—just a little bit—happy.

Back then, in order to preserve his own life, he’d almost let the Skinner Demon strike Luo Binghe on the head. It had been a rather unkind thing to do, and now that he’d recalled it, he even felt bad. He was too ashamed to think about it deeply.
When he didn’t answer, Luo Binghe began to bitterly complain. “Shizun, you…you’ve really forgotten? This disciple is so anguished.”
Ever since the two of them had begun fooling around (ahem), Luo Binghe hadn’t been able to pass a single day without becoming anguished at least several dozen times. When Shen Qingqiu spoke a couple of words to other people, he’d become anguished; when Shen Qingqiu took two fewer bites, he’d become anguished; when Shen Qingqiu complained that the bathtub was too small and kicked him out, he’d again become anguished… His anguish was like snacking on broad beans—showed up with a snap, then disappeared with another snap.

Look, he’d only refused out of habit. If Luo Binghe had just pestered him a little more, he would have agreed! Who could have guessed that after a mere wave of his hand, Luo Binghe would rush out the door to go find a corner to sulkily grow mushrooms in…?

the one time in the extras that you could argue binghe is being pushy is the honeymoon extra, where lbh is valiantly fighting for his dream of tying sqq up in immortal-binding cables. sqq promised him one request and lbh jumps for it, but sqq goes back on his word. its so unserious.

“Didn’t Shizun say that he would grant me one request today? So, my request is to ask if Shizun would deign to cooperate a little and allow this disciple to…lightly tie him up with this immortal-binding cable, then stay bound for a while so that dream can come true and fulfill this disciple’s years-long wish. Then this disciple can…die without regrets!”
Shen Qingqiu stared at them.
Though Die-er had already peacefully ascended to heaven via their own inexplicable sense of self-satisfaction, Shen Qingqiu felt like he couldn’t return Xiu Ya to its sheath just yet.
He expressionlessly headed outside. Luo Binghe ran in front him, cutting him off. “Shizun, you promised.”
Shen Qingqiu coldly pushed his hurt face out of the way.
“Shizun, how can you do this to me again?” Luo Binghe said accusingly.
What are you crying about? Even if you cry, it’s no use. Don’t embarrass us in front of outsiders!

to drive it in some more, we also get this scene in the 100 Questions extra. again, we have binghe explicitly saying he doesnt want to make sqq unhappy by compelling him to stay by his side and sqq assuring him that's silly. since, yknow, sqq loves him.

“If you were giving your partner a present, what would you choose? And what present would you yourself like?”
“As long as Shizun says the word, I will give him anything he desires.”
“I don’t think there’s anything I particularly want,” Shen Qingqiu said honestly.
As a peak lord, there really didn’t seem to be anything that was hard for him to get. When he thought about it, it really did feel like he was sitting on top of a mountain of gold and letting it go to waste.
“Then I want Shizun to ignore everyone else and stay by my side for three days.”
Shang Qinghua licked the tip of his brush and muttered, “Why not just have him stay by your side for a lifetime?”
Luo Binghe shook his head. “Then Shizun would be unhappy.”
At the sight of his dejected appearance, like that of a grumbling woman, Shang Qinghua was tongue-tied with shock.
Conversely, Shen Qingqiu was completely calm. “Silly child, you’re thinking wild thoughts again. Why would this master be unhappy?”

LBH is worried that SQQ is being HELD BACK by him. LBH is also worried that he cant "steal [him] back" due to his weak child form. he cant seduce SQQ, cant protect him, cant provide for him. but SQQ in his own way (to take a leaf from tgcf) reminds lbh that what matters is lbh, not the state of him.

Luo Binghe mumbled, “Shizun, is it true that being with me has made you lose a lot of opportunities to do things for yourself?”
Shen Qingqiu burst out laughing. “You put on quite a good act of being asleep. Your ears are sharp too. How much of your martial aspect have you recovered?”
“Shizun…the reason I didn’t want to come back wasn’t because I don’t like this place. Rather…it’s too easy for you to be stolen away here,” he mumbled, depressed. “If I were my actual self, I’d have some confidence that I could steal you back, no matter what I had to do. But as my current self, I really feel like…I can’t win against others.”
Shen Qingqiu rapped the top of his head. “Who asked you to win? You don’t need to steal me; Shizun will go with you himself.”
The appearance of one’s conversation partner was truly of utmost importance. If this were the adult version Luo Binghe, Shen Qingqiu wouldn’t have said something so nauseatingly frank even if you held a knife to his throat. But since this was the mini-version who he could pick up in his arms, and who was also willing to cling to his legs and throw a tantrum to seek comfort, Shen Qingqiu was free of all psychological pressures.
Luo Binghe lifted his face and gave him an adoring gaze.

things continue in this vein in vol 4. his fellow peak lords lightly roast LBH while he's 'sleeping' and complain that SQQ orbits around his disciple. once he shoos them out, LBH is awake and organising the books. SQQ then shows he has an EQ after all by recognising LBH is anxious in this scene.

Shen Qingqiu looked at him for a while, then walked in. “What are you doing?”
Luo Binghe looked up. “Shizun hasn’t been back in a long time, and there was no one to organize the books. This disciple wanted to make a new catalog and put them in storage.”
“Just get some rest. You don’t have to take care of these things.”
“But Shizun wasn’t here, and I had nothing else to do. I thought I might as well just do it.”
Shen Qingqiu sat down next to him, thought for a moment, then asked, “Are you so unhappy to be back at Qing Jing Peak?”
Luo Binghe gave him a faint smile. “What is Shizun saying? How could this disciple be unhappy?”
Shen Qingqiu slowly got up and went to head outside. But suddenly, he couldn’t move his feet.
Luo Binghe had jumped down from the table and grabbed onto his legs. “You’re right,” he ground out through gritted teeth. “This disciple…is unhappy!”
“There you go. If you’re unhappy, just say so. From now on, if you have something to say, don’t shut it up inside your heart and stifle your feelings. If you really don’t like Qing Jing Peak, we’ll leave once you recover your original form. It’s just that in your current state, you’re unsuited to constant travel. If anything happens, Cang Qiong Mountain can at least protect you.”

LBH is quiet, restrained, and has zero expectations that SQQ would choose him to leave with him. he's shocked that SQQ could suggest such a thing, having been so resigned to loneliness again. it's SQQ that initiates all of this. how exactly is he being manipulative here?

“Why don’t we leave, then?” he asked.
For a moment, Luo Binghe couldn’t manage to react. “Leave?”
Shen Qingqiu nodded. “Didn’t you say that you weren’t welcome here? Then let’s leave and go somewhere that does welcome you.” He added, “This time, no matter where you wish to go, this master will accompany you.”
Luo Binghe’s face had always appeared very quick and clever, but now his expression was thoroughly dumbfounded because of these few words. It was hard to look at.

which also reminds me of when he was upset at LBH when he was taken to the underground palace and did something similar. it just shows that if SQQ genuinely didnt want something hes very obvious about it, counter to ppl that think hes "stuck" in a relationship with LBH (just bc hes tsundere lmao)

In a sudden spate of malice, Shen Qingqiu bluntly said, “Then I ask to see you as little as possible. It will be best if I never see you at all.”

Luo Binghe looked as if he had never expected Shen Qingqiu to make this sort of request. His face paled.

At the sight of this, Shen Qingqiu felt a flash of schadenfreude, but at the same time, he also felt a stab of pain, like he had been pricked by a needle. Perhaps it was because, in the past, he had never said anything so scathing and vicious to anyone.

Either way, if Luo Binghe continued to leave him alone, wasn’t this the exact “days spent idling away to a ripe old age” lifestyle he had been pursuing this whole time?

Furthermore, Luo Binghe didn’t act like the characters in the strange novels that Shen Qingqiu’s younger sister had liked to read in his previous life. He didn’t shackle Shen Qingqiu to the bed with iron chains, blindfolded and gagged, or strip him naked and beat him or anything.

You’ll never be unhappy once you learn to be satisfied with what you have. Might as well just go with the flow.

If Shen Qingqiu could honestly comfort himself that way, he’d have shit for brains. He didn’t have Stockholm syndrome—he wouldn’t be falling over himself with gratitude at the slightest hint of good treatment. A fortunate lifestyle needs to be built by one’s own hands, not acquired by way of charity, understand?!

After failing to brainwash himself, Shen Qingqiu’s fingers tightened, and a page of the book he was reading tore in his hands.

like, after SQQ remembers that ZZL killed GYX, he gets upset and just. decides to leave. bee lines right to LBH (who SQQ notes is still watching him, despite how LBH should be concentrating on TLJ), grabs him and flees, totally uncaring of any harm to himself via the blood parasites.

When Shen Qingqiu had parted with Gongyi Xiao in the Water Prison, the boy had said, “If we have the fortune to meet again, Senior must keep his promise and bring me to visit Qing Jing Peak. This junior will be waiting.” It was as if these words were still ringing in Shen Qingqiu’s ear.

Shen Qingqiu found it hard to look directly at Zhuzhi-Lang. The ease with which he had looked at him previously was already gone. Zhuzhi-Lang had just noticed this change when Shen Qingqiu stood up and walked off.

Zhuzhi-Lang was surprised. “Where are you going?”

“Wherever, as long as it’s far away,” said Shen Qingqiu.

Heavenly demons were all lunatics. Being with one lunatic had to be better than being with two. At least that one listened to him.

Zhuzhi-Lang looked like he’d been stabbed. “I just want to treat the people who’ve helped me well,” he said quickly. “Is there something wrong with that?”

“The problem is that you think what you’re doing is treating me well, but I don’t think the same,” Shen Qingqiu said.

With every step he took, he felt his blood vessels twitching, like thousands and thousands of insects were squirming and biting within them. Luo Binghe looked back at him again and again, only barely avoiding being struck several times.

Zhuzhi-Lang raised his voice. “Even if Immortal Master Shen will meet a miserable end, he would still insist on taking their side?”

Shen Qingqiu didn’t answer, just kept walking.

At the sight of this, Zhuzhi-Lang said quietly, “I understand.”

Just after those words left his mouth, the dull pain within Shen Qingqiu’s body disappeared.

Tianlang-Jun’s voice rose, carrying a hint of irritation. “What are you doing?”

Seeing him fly in his direction, Liu Qingge also flipped atop Cheng Luan. Tianlang-Jun finally stopped playing around with his blood and attacked with a palm strike billowing with demonic qi, only to be parried by Luo Binghe. As Shen Qingqiu passed by, he reached out to grab Luo Binghe, and Luo Binghe raised his own arm in return. In a seamless sequence of movements, their hands connected, and with a pull, Shen Qingqiu brought Luo Binghe onto Xiu Ya. Two sets of sword glares shot off toward the horizon.
