unforgivable web/app UX trend: the thing where the minute you start typing a search, results start showing up every time you add a letter and, inevitably, everything lags the fuck out

i should not have to write my search terms in notepad and copy-paste them in!!! 🫠

Ever wasted 20 minutes in a meeting just clarifying what ‘dashboard’ means?
The simplest UX hack isn’t in your designs it’s in how you name things:
If it’s ambiguous, name it. If it’s user-facing, keep it natural.
No tools. No jargon. Just clarity.

Branding isn’t built on ads alone, but on alignment between what you say, who you associate with, and what clients actually experience.

I wrote a piece about how music quietly shapes my design process—unlocking focus, flow, and breakthroughs no one else sees.

It’s about the connection between rhythm, emotion, and creative momentum.

The Rhythm of Problem Solving | Blog | UX Designer – Borislav Ivanov
It’s mid-afternoon. I’m sipping cold coffee, lost in thought, staring at the same problem I’ve been wrestling with all morning. Then something clicks—an idea falls into place—and just as it happens, t...

interface design used to be cool and fun and everything didn't just look like a fucking roku btw

we just let companies get lazy because we keep buying their slop anyways even when it sucks ass and they justify it by saying it's "more user accessible and intuitive to use"

The UX Moments That Matter
I wrote a piece exploring those frustrating user experiences that don’t make it into case studies.

It’s a call to design with empathy and prepare for the unexpected.

The Return of the Shadow
Softness, Substance, and the Things We Overlook

There was a time when shadows in UI felt like a craft. Back in the skeuomorphic era, they helped things feel real — like you could reach out and press something...
