Nouvel entretien sur le podcast Nota Bene à propos de l'histoire de la colonisation du Sahel en compagnie de Camille Lefebvre. Détail d'un dessin de 1885 issu d'un numéro du journal "L'Illustration". On y voit Otto von Bismarck, alors chancelier d'Allemagne, coupant un gâteau sur lequel est écrit « Afrique ». Il est posé sur une table autour de laquelle sont assis les représentants d'autres puissances européennes.

A Hidden Story in African Linguistics & History

In 1904, two scholars met at Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo:
Al-Hajj Musa, a Kanuri scholar from Borno and Rudolf Prietze, a German linguist.

They collaborated for 10 years, producing hundreds of pages in Kanuri.
