Most of them don't even know there's an issue with Tesla. They truly are that insulated.

Same thing was happening to me, but a quick visit to the f150 lightning reddit cured me of that one. I know every car forum focuses on their problems, but they really do have some spectacular failures.

The uninterested 50% of the American public who can't be bothered to think about anything outside of themselves. There are still TONS of self proclaimed"moderates" that "just don't believe in all that political stuff" and want to buy an EV. And due to tariffs Tesla is still one of the cheapest.

Here in the Midwest I've done multiple 500+ mile trips with my car that has an effective range of 180mi in the winter. It's not a hardship.

or simply point out that a smaller battery would save $100 a month on your car payment, and you can just rent a car for that road trip saving you a ton of cash.

The point is that it's NOT perfectly reasonable. Almost no one actually needs that capability on a regular basis, and building massive batteries into cars that are rarely used for more than 80 miles at any given time is insanely wasteful.

5/ The bill cuts the help middle income Americans get to buy health care on the Affordable Care Act exchange.

A 60 year old couple making $85,000 (not a king's ransom) would see a $26,000 increase in health care premiums. Yes, that's right - $26,000.

4/ A new tax break for coal companies! So the tax incentives for wind and solar are GONE, and the coal industry is getting NEW tax incentives.

It's official policy now to to not just deny global warming exists - but to actively make it WORSE.

2/ It was bad enough they cut all the tax incentives for wind and solar energy - they added a NEW TAX on these projects to make sure America never builds any new renewables.

Remember, Trump promised the oil industry provisions like this in exchange for a $1B campaign donation.
