I found that sometimes companies change their policies from year to year, probably something to do with all of the extra holidays that are inserted into the calendar every once in a while. Hard to have any consistency.

I’ve never had the 25th off at a job in Thailand. Took me a few years to get used to it, but I wouldn’t expect to have Songkran off in Canada either. Everyone would probably die from hypothermia if you splashed water on them in April anyway lol

I feel the same way when visiting home. Absolutely mind blowing that people still watch it and put up with all that bloat.

Same, fascinating to see large scale projects like this. It’s like me digging a hole at the beach and connecting it with a trench, but a quadrillion times is bigger.

I know, it's a shame. Every few days I have to jump over to, ugh, the bird site, and sadly there is much more relevant news there.
