But the Sun-Times doesn't cite any defense from diocesan officials or other observers like Soriano Nuñez to give readers a more complete picture of the Pope's actual record in Peru. It's a straight advocacy article offering only the accusers' perspective and SNAP's position, i.e. a Hit Piece.

The allegations aren't new. Rodolfo Soriano Nuñez, a sociologist in Mexico City, an expert on the church's handling of clerical sexual abuse, said Prevost was one of the few bishops in Peru who tried seriously to address sexual abuse by priests, setting up a commission to deal with such cases.
