Dissertation defended. Thankful for my committee and my community. It’s been a long 8 years. Looking forward to resting (and seeing what people are going to wear to the Met Gala tonight).

If I have to sit and write in my office to get through this dissertation, might as well turn it into my favorite place: a museum.

The museum I work at has a 90s exhibit that opened today. I forgot that there was a lot going on in the 90s aesthetically, politically, culturally, etc.

I also collect antiques and vintage items from the African diaspora. This was a find from a recent trip to France. While there’s a part of me that wants to explore selling the things I find, I really do need to get my PhD first. 😅

Turning my office space into a mini museum.

Celebrating the addition of Denver Fire Station No. 3 to the National Register of Historic Places today. It was recognized as the only all-Black firehouse in Denver (1931 - 1957) and as a cornerstone of Black life in the Five Points Neighborhood. #historicpreservation #Denver
