Just a guy, with a keyboard, talking about politics and race relations. I was calling myself a liberal back when FOX News tried to make it a slur.
Now we should ask how many times has the ENTIRE law enforcement apparatus of... [France] shot at people in their cars in the last... [10] years.

Guarantee that France as a country over the last decade has shot at fewer cars than one dept in America has over the last 6 months.

Again... you seem to be making the absurd argument that I claimed all Black ppl were of one mind and vote. I don't know how much clearer I need to make it to you that that is NOT my argument. So if you want figure out what I'm saying and address me for that, cool. Otherwise fuck off w/ your BS.
January 16, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Well hopefully this means you see the difference between me "reciting" what *they* said and me just explaining what that argument was.
January 16, 2026 at 9:01 PM
Yes. I always had a "qualifier" in place. Even when I said at the start "I'm trying to think of a time..." leaving an opening for someone to point to a time I was overlooking.
January 16, 2026 at 8:59 PM
You're right. I'm reflexively defensive about points that seem like Black men love attacking Black women, and I didn't read that carefully enough.
January 16, 2026 at 8:11 PM
I don't know. All I'm saying is you can look at the amount of anime/manga/hard boiled/jet li references from rappers in the last 20-30 years and see that Black men are not shy about rocking with all of that.

Could be territorial too, like how some men don't like women talking sports.
January 16, 2026 at 7:31 PM
It wasn't *Black* men dissing Megan bc I can guarantee going you walk into any busy barber shop and there's at least one person in there who had a Crunchyroll subscription or was downloading dubbed anime back in the day.

We've been rocking with Asian media for decades.

I nominate myself to be the recipient...😂😂😂

On the one hand, I promise you that I would make way better arguments defending liberalism than almost anyone.

The catch is, we probably win elections 60/40 bc I'd also be telling rural America/MAGA/billionaires to GFT
January 16, 2026 at 7:06 PM
If you think I'm reciting anti-gay talking points that's between you and God.
January 16, 2026 at 6:03 PM
I don't get what "fire" you're referring to. You seem to be equating moral center as meaning every Black voter voted the same, and any Black vote against the LGBT disproves my claim.

You're free to think that, but that's not my claim. Black people are usually ahead of the curve on these issues.
January 16, 2026 at 5:29 PM
The moral center doesn't mean that every Black person toes the line on right & wrong. It means that as a demographic, we are ahead of the curve when it comes to identifying what's right & wrong, even if a significant # are still on the wrong side of history.

Factually wrong. I can disagree with people eating pork for personal reasons, while also not thinking it's the government's place to legislate or regulate pork-eating.

You might like bacon and I would shake my head and say that's between you and God.
January 16, 2026 at 5:09 PM
When controls were looked at Black voters were less supportive of Prop 8 than other demographics. I would look into it further to see what demos were even less supportive, but in liberal CA the Black voters showed more support for LGBT rights than most voters.

I think it comes down to pragmatism and awareness.

Pragmatism bc Blacks understand the slippery slope of letting government power crack down on minorities.

Awareness bc we see-through the empty campaign fear tactics that the GOP uses.
January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM
It was a gray area bc plenty of Black ppl didn't agree with SSM or adoption, they also didn't support discriminating against the LGBT. I see it as even if Black ppl didn't support it personally, they didn't think it was right for govt to act against the LGBT.
January 16, 2026 at 4:56 PM
It's a gray area bc while Blacks were more likely to oppose specific things like gay marriage and adoption, they were also more likely to support anti-discrimination laws based on LGBT status. I'm guessing a lot of Blacks went the Obama route to acceptance.
January 16, 2026 at 4:45 PM
Lol... Can you imagine if you saw your insulin prices double bc your government decided to cave to Trump so that American pharma companies could make more money?

The guillotine would be dragged out on principle.

Don't tell Leo.
January 16, 2026 at 3:22 PM
So you think crippling an economy to introduce massive shortages and inflation for everyday ppl isn't doing anything to encourage those ppl to leave their homes for more stability and money?
January 16, 2026 at 3:21 PM
"Grocery"? Is this some new word that I'm too rich and out of touch with regular folks to understand?
January 16, 2026 at 2:51 PM
I would love to abolish ICE, but the thing that would piss off the GOP more and speed run Dem goals on immigration is firing most of the ICE agents and replacing them with immigration judges, asylum reviewers, and caseworkers.

It's like they go for the most meek confrontation they can muster just so that you can't accuse them of being radical.

This isn't the big club. We're not looking for rhetorical wins. We're looking for people that will yell at the ghouls and tell us how they're going to squash them.
