So, in short? If you like something, but it doesn't make sense from a writing standpoint, just... throw it in, anyway! The worst that's going to happen is that it's just not talked about in the narrative all that often, and that's fine.

But if you get an idea, you have some room to work it in.

I threw it in because, thematically, it blends well with her deviant attire and playful attitude. However, I later came back to the drawing board, and made it a far more meaningful aspect.

In that it's natural, and a symbolic scar of how she died in her previous life--a fatal blow to the head.

So, spoiler talk, Kyrie here is a good example of this. A lot of her design elements were deliberate for lore, but others weren't. Notably, her demonic traits and attire were absolutely planned with an end goal in mind.

The blue hair streak, however, wasn't.

As for the content itself: Loka's showing herself to be composed of one part angry homeless person, one part disaster lesbian, one part burnt out gifted child, and three parts distilled badass.

It's also both a play on the word "extras", which is essentially what the JRPG menu options are (I intend the full game to be MOSTLY beatable without the ability, albeit very difficult); in addition to "extrasensory", which is linked to Loka's innate abilities with telepathy that already exist.

"TRAS" is an acronym for Temporally Restraining Analysis Sense. Very few people in the history of the game lore posses this ability--24, when the demo starts, so users are denoted by the Latin alphabet, in the order they were recorded with their power. Loka's use of it is thus "X-TRAS".

I've thought more about this idea, and I'm absolutely going to work on a demo in my spare time. Tentative name for the project is X-TRAS, based on the mechanic that would turn the "Metroidvania" aspects into a JRPG briefly.

What does "X-TRAS" mean, though? It's a multi-layered pun. :)

So, after sending her a rather bitter message about how she should have treated me better if she wanted to avoid going to the retirement home, I contacted the attorney I was working with and called off the intent.

It's not an act of mercy. I do not wish to sue and receive nothing.

She has zero marketable skills, she has no financial fallback, she doesn't even get a proper disability payout. I imagine that her fate is either going to be a hasty passing, or assisted living.

And I don't mean with my sisters. I doubt either of them will put up with her bullshit.
