you can see the springtails really zooming about with the video sped up, but they and this one little friend really like the little grains of rice

For size comparison the vid is absolute shit due to how small they are… the foliage is tiny fern moss.

it is so cute! esp since their little antennae go absolutely wild when they get fresh ones and crawl over them.

They're still so teensy, most of them aren't afraid of me anymore but there's still a few that run the moment I open the terrarium door even tho i bring Snack

The little ones seem to like the dead leaves from my impatiens most, while mama prefers the rotting wood chips I put in there for them.

Seems kind of fitting since impatiens are basically little more than leaf-shaped sugar water. Kids is kids no matter how many legs

Mama Roly Poly and the Baby Polies are doing so well, I'm still so thrilled by their accidental inclusion to the terrarium (I'm sure they are too, given it's so chilly out now)

They're almost big enough i can take a decent photo of them.

Agreed so much. I turn them off so quickly when a serious topic starts speaking in tiktok censorship.

At least, if you must talk around it, use one of the millions of censor friendly euphemisms that already exist in language that doesn’t feel so condescending
