Thank you for your interest in joining Discord's first Teen Council!
As a council member, you'll share your perspectives on Discord features, safety and wellbeing tools, and help create resources that make Discord better for teens and families. You'll collaborate with Discord teams on safety initiatives, educational resources, and platform improvements that matter to teens.
Before You Start
A few important things to know:
• You must be 13-17 years old and living in the US to apply.
• Parent or guardian consent is required. After you submit this application, your parent/guardian will need to complete a separate permission form.
• This is a written application only - no videos required. Please answer all questions thoughtfully and honestly.
• Application process: If selected as a finalist, you'll be invited to a 20-minute virtual interview (your parent/guardian can join). Final decisions will be made by mid-July 2026.
• Privacy: Your application information will only be used for Teen Council selection. If you're not selected, we'll delete your application data within 30 days following the close of the Teen Council program.
• Time commitment: The council runs September 2026 - May 2027, with monthly 90-minute virtual meetings. You must be able to commit to at least 7 of 9 meetings.

As a UK person, two of these were already present (if annoying but easily circumvented via VPN). The last three are new, I haven't personally seen the fourth.
That's 2-3 more restrictions than an unverified account in the UK has.

I think having post-endgame is good to keep people playing, oftentimes with platformers once I've got the ending and all the bits I stop. You can view achievements in the pause menu. (esc key)
