It’s self-hatred all the way down, and it just perpetuates more abuse.
I know because I’ve been there. I was bullied constantly in my childhood, and I turned that hatred inward AND outward.
It was rare, but I did punch down at other autistic folks before I even knew what that was. It was awful.

Autistic folks don’t need to always like each other; I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find some of us offputting even now.
But ESPECIALLY these days we need more understanding and solidarity than division. There’s always a person behind the face and, dare I say it, the stims.
Be good to each other.

Autistic folks don’t need to always like each other; I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find some of us offputting even now.
