One of my wife's relatives made a 'joke' after the killing of Renée Good about joining ICE if it meant they got to shoot white liberal women. I'm sure they're happy the legally carrying, white male, VA nurse Alex Pretti got executed in broad daylight, because 'domestic terrorism.'

it is not big or clever to be smug about estimates of how much you can raise by taxing billionaires. The point is that perceived fairness is the foundation of tax compliance - if you allow people to start thinking the middle class bears the whole burden, then you are undermining the entire system.
