There is a valid use for the underlying tech to see patterns, like spotting tumors in MRIs; trends in data; 'jiggling' an input idea to give brainstorming output, perhaps. But it is a basic category error to give them plain-language responses to queries: as they DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING.

Lina Khan was USA's last hope for returning #antitrust law to some form of efficacy. Alas, the Trump admin canned her @ first opportunity. After ~30yrs asleep at the wheel. I am old enough to remember the #Microsoft antitrust trial, how it *almost* did the right thing :( Now we have Amazon, etc.

Theoretical for myself, that is. Horrifying for those already in the US.

True but can you still not just refuse to give any PIN? If they can only compel biometric login, then they need to bruteforce the PIN. Make the duress short, real one longer so they trip on it w/o your participation.

Use #GrapheneOS if you have a Pixel series phone, people. It lets one configure a duress PIN which locks/wipes. Also does not use any biometric sign-ins (face/fprint) which aren't protected from compelled at demand of CBP; PIN-only which IS (or was at least while the US respected its own laws)...

In every fascist country there's an opposition party that took the high moral ground when the fascists started cheating.
Most of those people are eventually killed or imprisoned.
