🌱 The black cherry tomatoes are not really black but they have a full balanced flavor and just the right crunch. It’s a great snacking tomato. I hope to plant this again next season.

Squeezy is just so SQUEEZABLE. Look at this little boy. Picture-perfect for #Caturday.
My brown tabby rescue kitty (who looks suspiciously like a Bengal) is sitting in his cat tree hammock, butt into the round depression, back legs kicked out to the front, belly exposed. That look... "What? I know I'm cute."

🌱 In an increasingly distressing world, a bit of comfort in the garden with the certainty that nothing is permanent except the wheel of time … the sun setting but rising again.

A long sunset is upon us, hold on to each other in the dark, daylight one day …

Caught this great egret at the exact moment it landed on top of this tree just now.
Orange dawn sky, silhouettes of trees over the water, with a heron in silhouette on top of a tree with its wings upstretched. Close up of the heron silhouette with its head raised and wings straight out to the sides. Heron silhouette now in profile on top of the tree.

“The Last Day of Summer”, coloured pencil and watercolour, based on the last hummingbird I saw of the season — a young ruby-throated — before they all migrated. #Birds #WildlifeArt

Good luck! I’ve grown their lodi and kuri squash and loved them. Have not tried their peppers.

Red inside so no reminder of squid ink.

Yes, will try and plant this again next year.

🌱 These are indeed the darkest tomatoes i have ever grown. The midnight roma from Row7.

Reportedly breed for high anthocyanin trait into a paste tomato, ideal for sauces. Semi-determinate, with roma taste but such a striking looking 🍅. I was asked, “Is that a plum?”

How long before they start polygraph on the cleaning staff? 🫣

A frantic, paranoid former Fox News host, Hegseth, orders random polygraph tests for those he suspects of talking to the media. It's a move calculated to further diminish morale inside the Pentagon. www.thedailybeast.com/paranoid-pet...

A while back I learned something mindblowing about the geological history of the Mediterranean Sea, and I just can't get it out of my head.

Now I'm going to make it *your* problem too. Sorry.

Hang onto your hat. This is wild.

They are. I got a mixed bag of pink varieties and they are fantastic bloomers. Good reseeders too! All my apricot lemonade came from volunteers.

🌱 I wanted to see some blooms from my kitchen window so I planted a 40x10ft patch of cosmos. One year, I had cosmos flowering through November so I’m hoping I’ll have 6-8 more weeks of blooms. We’ll see …

Those inhabitants surely are coordinating their actions and engaging in a riot (of colors). What’s the landscape corps going to do in that war-ravaged corner?

These birds typically shows up in the garden in late spring. They visit the pampas grass, and we are often amused by them looking like pirates sporting pampas mustaches as they fly away with their haul.
