The problem is that if you don't grab the common sense in the beginning, you won't make it to the mid game, where you start coming across the the better sense tables.
Remember:
"Common" sense is the lowest loot rarity.
You should be looking for rare and legendary senses to flesh out your late-game build.
After about mid-game it's not even worth picking up the common ones to sell. They just fill up your inventory.
